There is a version of this document that runs to three thousand words and says nothing. This is the other kind. Jundravo is a small static site with one PDF sold by email, and what follows describes exactly what that involves.

The site is run by one person, and here he is

Andrew Wilson, 1910 Scotia Place, Edmonton, AB T5J 3G7, Canada, [email protected]. Not a company and not a team: he writes the pages, holds the hosting account and reads the mail. Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act asks for someone accountable to be designated, and here the designation and the entire operation are one and the same person.

The federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act applies alongside Alberta PIPA, together with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation.

A web server writes a line for every file it hands over

That line holds the IP address that asked, the user-agent string the browser announces, the path, the time and the response code. It is a property of how the web works, not a collection decision, and it exists whether anybody wants it or not.

Those lines are looked at when a page breaks or when automated traffic gets heavy. They are not aggregated into statistics, not combined with anything else and not used to work out who a reader is. The host rotates them out within a few weeks, which is a technical arrangement rather than a promise this site is in a position to vary.

Nothing on this domain asks who you are

There is no form here of any kind. No contact field, no sign-up, no comment box, no survey, no upload. Reading a page transmits nothing about you beyond the request that fetched it, and the site has no way to learn your name unless you send it.

There is also no analytics: no measurement platform, no tag manager, no advertising or remarketing tag, no session recorder, no heatmap, no embedded third-party content, no externally hosted font. Every file the browser loads comes from jundravo.com, so no outside company is ever placed where it could observe a visit. One first-party cookie records your answer to the banner for six months, and the Cookie Policy describes it in full.

If you write, the email exists until it is deleted

It contains whatever you chose to put in it. Threads are kept for up to twenty-four months so a follow-up months later still makes sense, and are then removed. Earlier deletion is available for the asking and is carried out without argument.

An order for the Blocker Breaking Book adds one thing to that: the reference your bank attaches to an Interac e-Transfer, which is how a payment gets matched to an order. No card number, expiry date or security code is ever seen by this site or by Andrew Wilson — a transfer runs between your bank and his, and there is no payment page on this domain for card details to be typed into. Order threads are kept a little more deliberately than a general enquiry, so a buyer who loses the file next spring can ask again and be recognised.

Four uses, and nothing outside them

Keeping the site up and secure. Reading and answering email. Performing an order, which means sending transfer details, confirming the payment arrived and delivering the file. Complying with a lawful request from a Canadian authority, if one is ever made.

Personal information is not sold, rented, traded or handed to advertisers or data brokers, and under CASL no commercial electronic message is sent from this address at all. There is no mailing list, so there is nothing to leave; a reply to your own email is not marketing.

Some of it sits outside Alberta, and that is worth saying

Pages are served over HTTPS and the hosting account is accessible to one person with a unique credential. The hosting and email providers are the only third parties involved, and both may operate infrastructure outside the province and outside Canada. Where that is the case, the provider is bound by contract to protections comparable to those required here, and what travels is log lines and correspondence.

What you can require, and who to complain to

Under PIPEDA and Alberta PIPA you may ask what personal information is held about you and receive a copy, ask for a correction, withdraw a consent you gave, and have your correspondence deleted. Write to [email protected] and say which; a first answer normally arrives within a couple of business days and the request is completed inside thirty days.

If that does not satisfy you, complaints go to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Neither asks whether you tried here first.
